Unique. Anderson. 1999. Single brilliant red flowers with slightly darker flares. Petals are lightly ruffled and are notched. Pink stigmas, bright red sheath and stamens tipped with waxy yellow anthers. 1 or 2 side buds. Beautiful finely dissected dark green foliage. Plants stand about 34″ in bloom. Many red intersectionals have poor foliage later in the growing season, but Unique is an exception! Parentage: (Martha W. x potaninii). Ships in late September to mid October.
