Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland.  Reath.  1988.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.  (Alice Harding x Golden Era).  Semi-double with thirty petals. Bright yellow with reddish maroon flares. Petals are of heavy substance. 36″ in height, but the large flowers generally hang down and some support makes a better looking plant. Good flower color comes from Alice Harding and vigor from Golden Era. Large deep green leaves.  Late emergence and growth in spring avoids frost damage to plants.  Plants often lose stems in cold winters, but are quickly replaced from ground shoots.  Fertile both ways.  In high demand and short supply.   Rare in commerce.  Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
