Athol.  Chow.  Unregistered garden named seedling.   (Seidl #112 x Rosalind Elsie Franklin).  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.  Hybridized by Bernard Chow of Melbourne, Australia through the use of Bill Seidl lineage lutea hybrids.  Semi-double to double light red to deep pink.  Flowers have good substance and are carried outward on somewhat long stems that lean.  A beautiful flower and reliable bloomer. This is a Bernard Chow (Australia) seedling.   Athol is a lower growing plant in Wisconsin (3 feet) and makes a rounded shrub.  Fertile pollen, but seeds are difficult to date.  Very good.  Ships in late September to mid October.
