Banquet.  Saunders.  1941.  F1 generation lutea hybrid.  Semi-double ruffled flowers of deep strawberry. Flares dark, hidden. Filaments reddish, very few. Stigmas rose; 7 or more. Sheath purple. Stems and leaves medium green flushed in red.  Foliage is fine and abundant.  Blooms a bit later than most of the lutea hybrids.  A very beautiful plant and flower.  Foliage stays healthy throughout the year and makes an excellent landscape plant.  No fertility.   Tremendously beautiful and floriferous. Saunders seedling number:  13026  Parentage: L-D x crimson tree peony (suffruticosa).  Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
