Marie Laurencin. Daphnis. 1977. Lutea hybrid. Beautifully formed flowers of pink with deeper rose tones at the center. Petals notched, ruffled and crimped making for an elegant presentation. Foliage is slightly glossy. Plants reach approximately 30 inches in Wisconsin and lack stem hardiness, but reliably regrow from basal shoots to bloom each spring. This plant often goes dormant a bit earlier than other lutea hybrids. No fertility noted. Ships in late September to mid October.
