Athena. Saunders. 1949. Herbaceous hybrid. Large single ivory flowers with conspicuous rose flares. Unique and beautiful. Plants are shorter growing at around 26″, but display flowers impeccably. Week 2-3 bloom time. Quadruple hybrid lactiflora x ((macrophylla x mlokosewitschii) x officinalis) Athena will sparingly set seed and sometimes produce pollen. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
