Carol.  Bockstoce.  1955.  Herbaceous hybrid. APS ‘Best In Show’-1968.  Very large red double.  Extremely full flower form.  Requires staking to hold up huge flowers, and stems are often irregular due to fast growth during periods of inconsistent spring temperatures.  Requires well-drained soil to prosper.  Often displayed in flower shows, and makes a wonderful flower in a vase.  Very good. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
