Fan Tan. Japan/Smirnov. 1974. Herbaceous hybrid. (Introduced in this country by Louis Smirnow) Originated by a Japanese physician, in Japan. Known as AUREA, also YOKIHI. (1954). Parentage unknown. Flower apricot-tan suffused yellow. Large petals tipped slightly pink. Much like the cultivar ‘Mai Fleuri’. An interesting cultivar, but slow growing for us. A collectors plant. Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
