Good Cheer.  Saunders.  1942. Herbaceous Hybrid Group. Parentage: (Officinalis x lobata). Lovely light salmon vermilion single cup-shaped blooms. Excellent flower carriage, which is very upright.   Flower color is unusual and nearly approximates orange.  Good Cheer has an unusual root system in which the crown rests on a narrow neck, making it a difficult subject to propagate and only produces small divisions, with limited amounts of dormant buds.  Plants require excellent drainage, but are not difficult to grow if positioned in a good location.  Fertile, highly drained soils grow this cultivar best.   In very high demand by hybridizers and collectors.  Fertile both ways.  Adventitious roots. Small divisions (this is a small growing plant) ship late September to mid-October.

Color: Orange-Peach
