Lavender

Lavender.  Saunders.  1939.  Herbaceous hybrid.  Parentage:  (Albiflora x coriacea) Early-mid season bloom. A strain. Lovely pale lilac, becoming more delicate as the flower ages. May prove to be a difficult subject to grow in some soils.  While the plant requires good drainage, it appears that there is a soil component (unidentified) which is needed for success.  It is known that highly soils with high amounts of compost and organic material contribute to disease issues.  The crowns of these plants often produce a “neck” in which all buds are seated upon and divsion can be difficult.  All said, a beautiful and unsual cultivar.  Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
