Quitzin

Quitzin.  Fawkner.  2001.  Herbaceous hybrid.  Yellow full double tetraploid hybrid, becomes bomb-shaped, with yellow guards. The center has two shades of yellow, many yellow petals and petalodes tinged peach at the base, starting off spotted green. Opens as a large compact green-yellow globe, distinct green blotches slowly fade with the growth of the crown.   Requires mechanical support to hold up the large/heavy blooms.  Roots become large in a short period of time.  Fertile both ways.  No parentage, but obviously of unique lineage. This cultivar blooms in a variety of forms and is most often double after a few years of establishment/growth. Premium divisions ship from late September to mid-October.
