Scarlet O’Hara.  Glasscock/Falk.  1956.  Herbaceous hybrid.  American Peony Society Award of Landscape Merit. Scarlet O’Hara is one of the most vigorous showy plants we grow.  The large single flowers open a red-pink and fade to pink as they age.  Pink stigmas, green carpels and yellow stamens.  At the center is gorgeous tuft of yellow stamens to provide accent.  Plants are on the tall side (40″) and grow with tremendous vigor.  Stems are sturdy and foliage is a nice dark green.   Week 4-5 bloom time.  No fertility.  Parentage: (officinalis x lactiflora). Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
