Corsair

Corsair. 1941. Saunders. F1 lutea hybrid. very single; 10-20 pointed, notched, and ruffled petals. Dark maroon, heaviest substance. Flares large, “black.” Filaments coarse, black. Stigmas small, pink. Sheath creamy lilac-rose. Foliage ferny. With Heart of Darkness, the two darkest maroon in color.  Ships late September to mid October.
