Paeonia potanini ‘Mother Earth’

Entsminger

P. potanini ‘Mother Earth’.  Enstminger.  Woody species selection.  The small 3″ flowers are an ‘earthy’ red tone, but may be more gold in certain weather conditions.  Like most P. delavayi complex cultivars this plant is best grown in a more protected area to preserve older stems through winter.  Plants are highly stoloniferous and clumps reach 6 feet or more in width after 5 to 8 years.  Attains a height of 3 feet in Wisconsin – probably taller in less rigorous localities.
