Expectation. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. An advanced generation lutea hybrid selected in New Zealand. From seed sent by William Seidl in the 1990s. Cream single to semi-double with pink tinges. Pinkish-mauve shading at petal bases and very short maroon flares. Beautiful and easy to grow plants reach 3 1/2 feet in height x 6 feet in width in Wisconsin. Seedling # 457/10. Parentage: Seidl #37 x Zephyrus. Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
