Golden Hind. Saunders. 1948. F1 lutea hybrid. Large semi-double to double medium yellow flowers. The large ruffled petals are rounded and number from 30 to 100. Short dark marron flares at petal bases. One of the latest of all lutea hybrids to bloom. Semi-glaucus foliage with rounded leaflets. Flowers carried on long stems, but are carried well. Excellent and rare. Should be more widely grown. Part of the Woody Peony Preservation Project. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
