Ice Storm

Ice Storm.  Smithers.  1992.  Suffruticosa x Rock’s Variety hybrid.  Large, pure white single blossoms are distinguished by a generous boss of long stamens.   No flares.  Stamens, stigmas, and the sheath are all white.  Petals are lightly ruffled and recurve somewhat.  Deep green foliage.  Strong stems that are very hardy here in Wisconsin. To about 4′ in height in Wisconsin.  Fertile.  Requires a well-ventilated planting area to remain healthy.  Parentage not known. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
