Kao

Kao.  Watanabe.  Unregistered historic Japanese suffruticosa cultivar.  Large light dusty purplish-red double.  Heavy blooming on relatively short plants (34 inches in Wisconsin).   Must be grown in well drained soil with good air movement to remain healthy.   Kao=King of Flowers.  Produces scare amounts of seed and pollen. Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
