Mystery

Mystery.  Saunders.  1948.  F1 lutea hybrid. Seedling #16475.  Saunders’ Mystery Group.  Large flower of pearled lavender, with darker shading, varied with palest green.  Foliage is large and clean, with red shading, and flowers are carried outward.  Mystery and another Saunders cultivar, Princess, were mixed up in commerce, and it is likely many gardens have names reversed, or assigned to another cultivar.  With this in mind, we are now able to offer correctly named plants. Outstanding flowers that are extremely soft in coloration. Rare.  Woody Peony Preservation Project Cultivar. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
