Oread

Oread.  (Mountain Nymph).  Daphnis.  1996.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.  Single-form flowers, with two rows of petals that open pale pink and fade to near white as they age. Red flares that softly bleed out onto the petals.  Cream sheath and light flesh colored stigmas.  Red stamens.  Pollen fertility.  A strong-growing plant produces abundant, thick stems.  Excellent average-sized foliage, typical of Lutea Hybrids.  Blooms in the later part of the woody season.  Excellent and rare.  Parentage: (Maria Teressa x Gessekei). Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
