Tessera. Daphnis.  1985.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Peach and cream flowers, which often do not open fully, are cupped or ball-shaped.  Dark flares at the center.  Nicely ruffled petals.  Blooms on and off all summer and into fall for us.  Red stems and unique, finely cut foliage.  Plants produce long stems that bloom on and off throughout the summer months and into autumn.  Stem hardiness is poor in Wisconsin, but plants reliably grow from ground shoots that bloom in the same season.  Reliably blooms once established.  A collector’s plant that is rarely available.  Unknown fertility, but seed has been reported by other hybridizers. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
