Stardust.  Saunders.  1948.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Seedling #: 14320. Saunders’ Roman Gold Group. Plants produce an abundance of small, light yellow, semi-double form blossoms. Petals are narrower than those of other Lutea Hybrids, creating a unique blossom.  Plants produce an abundance of narrow, deeply lobed leaves.  The small mound-shaped plants (30″ wide x 24″ high) produce an abundance of blooms.  An excellent candidate for the rock garden or front of the border.  Rare, with few garden reservoirs to draw from.  Part of the Woody Peony Preservation Project.  Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
