Marie Lemoine. Calot. 1869. Lactiflora cultivar.  The white flowers are double in form and some traces of red along the edges.  At maturity, flowers are large and globular in form.  A few stamens can be found mixed in with petals.  Very fragrant.  Relatively dwarf with excellent foliage.  Stout stems. Very highly regarded as one of the handsomest peonies. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
