Amber Moon. Saunders. 1948. F1 lutea hybrid. Single; 8-10 petals, slightly tawny (hence the name) yellow, with a distinct rosy edge. Flares small; filaments short, very dark red. Stigmas cream-white; sheath white. Carpels are pale green. Upright grower with broad leaves. Often blooms again in late summer and well into the fall season. Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants. While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden. Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies
