Savage Splendor (2 year graft)

Savage Splendor.  Saunders.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Large single ivory flowers, veined and edged with a deep rose and lavender. Flares are a deeper, darker rose and stamens are coarse and golden. Each petal is uniquely twisted and ruffled.  Plants are rapid growers and produce many ground shoots.  Stems are not particularly hardy in Wisconsin, but reliably re-grow each season producing a multitude of flowers.  Best for zones 5 and warmer.  (unknown x unknown).  No fertility.  Very rare in commerce. Ships in late September to mid October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
