Sir Fredrick Stern (2 year graft)

Sir Frederick Stern.  Smithers.  2003.  P. rockii influence hybrid.  Rockii x suffruticosa hybrid.  Seedling # “Rocks M”.  Parentage: (Rocks (UK) x unknown). Purple semi-double to double flower. Stamens, pollen, and seeds. No Fragrance. Dark flares, purple carpels. Plants bloom in early/mid-season on tall, strong plants with dark green foliage. Excellent and seldom seen in the North America. Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
