Yachiyo-Tsubachi (2 year graft)

Yachiyo-Tsubaki (Eternal Camelias).  Japan. Unregistered historic Japanese suffruticosa cultivar. Single to semi-double, clear pink.  The medium-sized flowers are very tailored.  Plants emerge with red foliage and retain much of this coloration throughout the growing season.  Plants become wider than high at maturity.  Very good.  Fertile both ways. Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
