Buckeye Belle. Mains. 1956. Herbaceous hybrid. American Peony Society – Award of Landscape Merit and Gold Medal -2010. Large dark red flowers with wide guard petals and narrower inner segments. Petals are interspersed with stamens, yellow anthers and red filaments. Flower color varies depending upon temperatures at the time of flowering. An award winning cultivar that shows up well in the garden. Week 5 bloom time. No fertility. (officinalis x lactiflora). Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
