Flame. Glasscock. 1939. Herbaceous Hybrid. Single bright cheery red flowers are presented nicely on medium height bushes. Flower color stands out among other peonies and won’t be missed. Flowers fade to a most pleasing bright pink. Excellent stem strength. Yellow stamens, whitish-green carpels and pink stigmas. Roots are adventitious. Week 4 bloom time. No fertility. An excellent and easily grown cultivar that puts on a big show. Parentage: (albiflora x officinalis ‘Sunbeam’). Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
