Edna’s Wish.  Stanek. 2020. Seedling #: CRM#2. Parentage: ‘Old Faithful’ x ‘Lemon Chiffon’. Mid/Late season bloom period. Double, size 7-8 inches, normally 3 blooms per stem, with fragrance. Sidebuds present as semi-doubles. Creamy light yellow, flushed pale pink most heavily on the outer rows of petals. Carpels are variable, may number up to 4, or may be completely absent. When carpels are present, they are white and moderately hairy. Light pink stigmas may be feathered, but have produced seeds. Some pollen-bearing stamens can be found amongst the petals. Staminodal disc obscure. Upright spreading bush 38-40 inches tall (96-102 cm). Strong stems support the flowers without added mechanical support. Foliage can provide color in the fall (amber, purple, red). Has demonstrated good potential for cold storage and vase use. Awarded Certificate of Merit and advanced to the Court of Honor at the 2014 APS Annual Exhibition, Mansfield, Ohio. Named for the registrant’s mother-in-law.  Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
