Hansina Brand

Hansina Brand.  Brand. 1925.  Lactiflora Group.  Flowers are flat across the surface and are a deep double in form.  The flesh pink flowers are huge and have many petals, sometimes edged in red.  Stems are very long and require mechanical support.  2 or 3 side buds.  This cultivar blooms late and is subject to flower damage in hot seasons or locations.  Unique and beautiful. Received an Award of Merit at London (Ontario) International Peony Show, 1922.  Awarded the American Peony Society’s Gold Medal in 1946.  Very rare but not difficult to grow. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
