Heartbreaker.  Bremer.  2022.  Herbaceous Hybrid.  (Nose Gay x mloksewitschii) x P. villosa ‘Sol’).  Seedling #NGMM.  Three and three-fourth inch single red-pink flowers.   Outer petals rounded and lightly notched.  Inner row of petals smaller and more spathulate.  Petals fade slightly, are lighter at bases and become ruffled as flowers age.    Filaments are violet at bases and are white to anthers.  Violet carpels are covered in dense woolly light pink hairs.  Stigmas are reddish-violet.  Toothy disk is violet in color.  The beautiful color combinations create a unique and ornate show.  Flowers face outward and stems require no support.  Leaflets are elongated and of deep green color creating a great foil for the blooms.  Foliage is nearly to the ground and creates a wonderful mound shaped plant.  Plant height is 18 to 20 inches making it a perfect rock garden subject.  Roots are highly adventitious, thus new plants may be propagated from blind roots.  Requires well drained soil.  Vigorous grower and not difficult to grow. Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.

Named for its beautiful floral presentation which never seems to last long enough, but average for early season blooming types.  Like all peonies, bloom season is fleeting!
