Kalinka (pending registration)

Kalinka. Seidl/Bremer. 2026. Herbaceous Hybrid.  Parentage: ‘Little Corporal’ x (Lemon Chiffon x The Mackinac Grand).  Double flowers are deep red, held on short, stout and erect stems.  Ruffled petals are wide and lightly notched along edges.   Plant reach a height of 22″ and are clothed in very deep green foliage to the ground.  Leaves are wide and puckered, creating a unique foil for the well-formed flowers.  Plants require excellent drainage and should be grown on the dry-side (more so than other peonies).  Has red stigmas and filaments. No fertile pollen noted. Seed is possible with compatible pollen parents. A unique cultivar, which will not be confused with any other cultivars.  Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
