Lucky. Krekler/Klehm. 1977. Lactiflora cultivar. Japanese flower form. Large, rounded, rich red guard petals surround a uniform center of tightly packed golden-edged stamenoids. Dark foliage is a good backdrop to a stunning flower. Superior to most Japanese form flowered cultivars. Seed fertility. Strong stems with many buds. We love this plant and think it should be grown by anyone who enjoys peonies. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
