Mahogany. Glasscock. 1937. Herbaceous hybrid. Parentage: (lactiflora X officinalis ‘Otto Froebel’). American Peony Society 2015 Gold Medal winner. American Peony Society Award of Landscape Merit. Medium-sized, single, cup-shaped bloom of deep mahogany color. Excellent plant habit and foliage. Week 3-4 bloom time. Seed has been observed on this cultivar. Produces massive roots in a short period of time. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
