Matilda Lewis. Saunders. 1921. Lactiflora Group. The large, deep red (nearly maroon) flowers are semi-double to double. A medium-tall plant with upright, vigorous growth. Stems are stiff and require no support. Foliage is dark green. Like many dark red flowers, they may become sunburned in bright light. Rare and one of the few Lactiflora Group introductions hybridized by A.P. Saunders. Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
