Monsieur Jules Elie

Monsieur Jules Élie.  Crousse. 1888.  Lactiflora cultivar.  The rose pink double flowers are very large and produce a cone-like shape at maturity.  Guard petals are large, and the bomb-like petals at the center are like layered and curled feathers.  Plants are relatively tall and very free-flowering.  Stems benefit from mechanical support due to heavy blooms.  Foliage is medium green and healthy.   One of the most popular of all peonies and heavily used in Klehm hybridizing lines.  An outstanding cut flower and fragrant.  Premium divisions ship late September to mid-October.
