Nosegay. Saunders. 1950. One of our all time favorite medium to small plants! The single flowers are a soft cream overlaid in pink with a ring of gold stamens wrapping bright pink stigmas. The flower is elegant and quite feminine. Bloom is very early and fills that void for peony flowers we’ve missed all winter. Plants have finely cut foliage that is quite distinct. Stem strength is excellent, but foliage begins to go dormant earlier than many peonies. Fertile both ways. F2 (mlokoswetchii x tenufolia). Week 1-2 bloom time. Adventitious roots. Excellent. Ships in late September to mid October.
