Paeonia arietina ‘Bayburt Turkey’. Herbaceous species. Brilliant deep pink flowers which open flat (main image shows a plant during a cool blooming season-thus dark). Plants grow to 20-24″ and are relatively easy garden subjects. Well drained soil in a bright location is necessary to keep it healthy. Foliage is deep green and has long dissections (notches). Easily fertile both ways. Plants were grown from seed originating from the Bayburt area of Turkey and are quite unique. Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
