Paeonia banatica

Paeonia banatica.  Herbaceous species.  A rather obscure species hailing from isolated areas within Serbia and Romania and perhaps other adjacent countries.  Often considered a taxon of the species P. officinalis.  Flowers are pink and open with wonderfully rounded flowers, often with notches along the edges.  Easily fertile with other tetraploid species.  Ships in late September to mid October.
