Peter Brand

Peter Brand.  Brand.  1937. Lactiflora cultivar.  Peter Brand is a dark, shiny red double form flower of excellent confirmation.   Petals are of heavy substance and are finely notched at the outer edges.  The plant is seldom seen in American collections, but should be grown more widely for its rich coloration and good plant habits. Nice deep green foliage carried on sturdy stems.  Little or no fragrance noted and not fertile to our knowledge.  Stems carry a side bud or two and do not require mechanical support.  If you are looking for a deep red, this is a great choice.  Ships late September to mid-October.
