Quitzin. Fawkner. 2001. Herbaceous hybrid. Yellow full double tetraploid hybrid, becomes bomb-shaped, yellow guards. Center has two shades of yellow, many yellow petals and petalodes tinged peach at base start off spotted green. Opens as large compact green-yellow globe, distinct green blotches slowly fade with growth of crown. Requires mechanical support to hold up the large/heavy blooms. Roots become large in a short period of time. Fertile both ways. No parentage, but obviously of unique lineage. This cultivar blooms in a variety of forms and is most often double after a few years of establishment/growth. Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
