Shirley L. Eugene George Lins/Bremer. 2025. Lactiflora Group. Seedling number 08-17. First bloomed in 2008. Received from Marcia Lins in 2019 and propagated at Solaris Farms. This exquisite cultivar is small in stature (26 inches) and presents its many blooms on thick erect stems. Flowers open as anemone form and quickly become a high built bomb shape. Large deep pink guard petals act as a plate for the the many smaller ruffled and curled inner petalodes. Inner petals are deep pink frosted at their ends, as are the guards. A collar of coral spiked petalodes provides a beautiful accent to the overall flower color. Stems may have up to 4 side buds and are carried without any bending of stems. Stigmas are light yellow and feathered or may not be existent at all. No fertility noted at this time. The extremely strong stems present 4.5 inch blooms to perfection. The deep green foliage extends to the ground and is relatively wide for a lactiflora. Little to no fragrance. This cultivar is unique for its high quality plant, flower and display. Plants are easy fast growers and have proven disease resistant. Named for wife (Shirley Lins) of Eugene George Lins and mother of Marcia Lins.
