Strawberry Wine.  Saunders/Hollingsworth.  2004.  Herbaceous hybrid. Single, large red-pink petals (bright magenta) of medium intensity, stem below the flower is the same color. Carpels green, stigmas magenta. A novel fertile hybrid of unknown ancestry sent to Don Hollingsworth by Silvia Saunders in 1973 when closing her father’s nursery, tagged “a fine red”.  Height to 28 inches with a spreading bush habit, which holds shape during flowering. Fertile both ways.  Seedling  #567. Court of Honor recognition under number, Madison, WI, 2002.  A very good and unique flower color.   Lightly adventitious roots.  Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
