Top Hat. Reynolds. 1971. Lactiflora Group. Small flowers are bright cardinal red and of Japanese form. Petals often arise from within the mass of staminoides, making for an interesting display. Lactiflora, Japanese type flower form, Parentage unknown. No stamens. Amber, red, tipped carpels. Guards slightly recurved, center moderately compact. 32-34″ in height. Foliage deep, full to ground. 2-3 buds. Floriferous- plants are covered in blooms annually. Seedling # 43-14. Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
