Triton

Triton.  Bremer.  2017.   Advanced generation herbaceous hybrid.  (Manitowoc Maiden x (Little Corporal x Salmon Dream)).  Triton has enormous semi-double to fully double, bright deep pink flowers with petals that twist and turn.  Stem strength is outstanding and does not require mechanical support.  Foliage is dark green and typical of herbaceous hybrids.  Green carpels, pink stigmas and yellow filaments.  Fertile both ways.  Height is 35″.  Week 4-5 bloom time.  Triton is named for the largest of Neptune’s natural satellites, or if you like, the Greek Mythological messenger king.  Superior plant habits and one of the most admired plants in our growing fields.  We believe ‘Triton’ is one of the very best peonies available today due to all around superior plant habit, vigor and bloom.  One of the very finest recently introduced cultivars.   Premium divisions ship late September to mid October.
