Windsong.  Bremer. 2025. Herbaceous Hybrid. Parentage: (Lemon Chiffon x (Lemon Chiffon x (Little Corporal x (Lemon Chiffon x The Mackinac Grand))).  Semi-double to double (flower-in-flower type), light yellow flowers are 5 to 6 inches in diameter and are low profile.  Flowers are very rounded and are carried 1 per stem.   Plants are 22 to 26 inches in height. Filaments are light yellow.  Anthers with fertile pollen present.  Carpels and stigmas are generally not present; when present, carpels are light green, and stigmas are red.  Obscure disk. Plants exhibit wide, deep green foliage, clothing stems to the ground. While ‘Lemon Chiffon’ occurs in its ancestry multiple times, plants are healthy and exhibit disease resistance.  Clumps display flowers all around the plant and are extremely attractive in the garden.  Flowers appear puffy and cloud-like.  Windsong was selected for its low-growing habit, beautiful foliage, and its uniform floral display. Free-standing and no mechanical support is necessary. The seedling first bloomed in 2012 and, in error (due to an overly busy digging schedule in the fall season), was not propagated until 2018. Much admired by APS members during the 2016 Convention Tour held at Solaris Farms.   May produce seed with effort and has fertile pollen. Excellent.  Premium divisions ship from late September to mid-October.
