Akashigata

‘Akashigata’.   Japan. Suffruticosa. Medium-large semi-double light pink flowers with darker central petal coloration. This is a very good cultivar that has proven to have better disease resistance for us. Excellent stem hardiness and good rate of growth. Plants in the open field attain 3 and a half feet in 6 years and are covered in flowers each season. Very good and difficult to find.  Fertile both ways. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
