Zi Hai Yin Bo (Silver Wave on a Purple Sea). China. Unregistered Chinese Gansu Mudan suffruticosa of P. rockii influence. A stout growing plant to 4 feet in height and 3 feet in width. The large deep red flowers are semi-double and highly variable, often with extra petaloids. Slow growing. Petals may have white coloration streaked on them. Filaments are incomplete and often white in color. A very interesting and beautiful plant that expresses its flowers a bit differently each year. Seed fertility with effort, no pollen. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
