Brocaded Gown. Domoto/Klehm. 1995. American suffruticosa cultivar. Semi-double flowers are a clear medium-pink that fade to an attractive light pink as they age. Parentage: Moutan seedling raised by Toichi Domoto, first bloomed in 1986. Good substance, excellent amount of bloom, with stamens, pollen, and seeds. The ruffled flower is fragrant, excellent stem strength, 3 ft. plus or minus, early bloom, excellent foliage, excellent vigor. One bud per stem. Seedling # K86-05. Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
